Kalani Takes Victory Over Moanalua, 8-5
Honolulu - Visiting Kalani took on Moanalua and defeated the Menehune 8-5 in a key OIA East game.
The Falcons fired up the offense with a bang in the first inning scored one run when Brandon Ting tripled.
Kalani scored four runs in the sixth inning. Falcons big bats were led by Chad Kagawa, Ian Higa, and Kaden Stremick, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Jarod Kaneshiro was credited with the victory for Kalani. He surrendered three runs on four hits over five innings, striking out nine. Edward Lee and Max Patterson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Kai Matsumoto, Kaneshiro, Kagawa, Logan Cabbat, Higa, Ting, Travis Toyama, and Zachary Wong each collected one hit the Falcons. Boxscore
