Kalani Bounces Back To Beat Pearl City

Waipahu - Pearl City scored four runs in the fifth inning, but Kalani still won 9-5 on Thursday. Pearl City batters contributing to the big inning included Trevor Yoneyama and Ethan Yonamine, who all drove in runs.

The Falcons opened up scoring in the first inning. Noah Nakasone's sac fly scored one run for Kalani .

Kalani tallied four runs in the fourth inning. Kalani's big bats in the inning were led by a single by Jarod Kaneshiro, by Nakasone, and a double by Chad Kagawa.

Edward Lee was credited with the victory for Kalani. He surrendered five runs on seven hits over four and a third innings, striking out four. Kaneshiro and Max Patterson entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

Caleb Young took the loss for Pearl City. He went one inning, allowing three runs on three hits, striking out two and walking one.

The Falcons saw the ball well today, racking up 12 hits in the game. Kagawa, Kaneshiro, Logan Cabbat, and Duke Knott all managed multiple hits. Kaneshiro and Kagawa each collected three hits to lead Kalani. Boxscore
